20s to 30s group...

20s-30s weekend away (with Christ Church) in Castleton, September 2005
|
Introduction
20s-30s is an informal group with the aim of building friendships and growing in fellowship with each other and our Lord Jesus Christ. We seek to encourage each other to grow in faith and serve each other, the church and the people around us.
Special 20s-30s activites range from barbeques to book evenings, and from punting to poetry. However, meeting in The Lounge every third Sunday evening of the month from 8 pm has become our regular platform not only for catching up and socialising but also to stage special events with a more spiritual focus, such as sharing testimonies with each other or discussing apologetics questions together. Please come along if you are interested!
To stay informed about what’s happening within 20s-30s, please join the group’s e-mail list
or speak to Katherine Symons.
Although it certainly includes times of fun and fellowship, we see coming up to the Lounge as a way of serving the church and our brothers and sisters in Christ. Additionally, our vision is very much focused on outreach and in organizing other 20s-30s events we hope to bring our friends and colleagues closer to Christ. As "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few"
(),
we very much welcome anybody who feels a passion for 20s-30s work and would like to become more involved in the planning group. Please just come and speak to one of the present planning group members (see below). We look forward to hearing from you!
Every second Sunday we meet for a "Pot Luck Lunch", gathering at noon after the morning service. "The Lounge" runs every third Sunday evening at 8:00pm.
Planning group members currently are:
- Katharine Symons
- Vicky Hasleham
- Amy Donovan
- Andrew Collier
