"Explore" courses
From time to time Eden runs short courses aimed at people who are seeking to find out more about the Christian faith. On these courses you can learn who Jesus was, what his aims were, and what it means to follow him today.
Who are these courses for?
All of the courses are for anyone who has questions about Christianity - and who would like to find out answers to them. It doesn't matter if you have just started coming to church, or if you've been going to church for years. Whatever your circumstances, if you would like to find out more about Christianity and what it means to be a Christian, then these courses are for you.
What goes on?
Each course meets once a week and usually runs for 6 or 7 weeks. Around coffee and cakes, there is the chance to study the Bible together followed by a very short talk focussing on an aspect of Christian belief. There are group leaders who will help and answer questions. The course is designed to give you a relaxed opportunity to study first hand the Christian claims. You are welcome to ask any question you like or simply sit back and listen to others ask them. At any of the courses, you're not asked to pray, sing, or read aloud.
It doesn't matter if you've been going to church for years, or never picked up a Bible before, whether you're got a religion or none - everybody is very welcome.
How much does the course cost?
Nothing. All materials are provided, including lots of excellent home made cakes!
When is the next course?
The present course started on Tuesday 30 April 2013 and runs for seven weeks (until 11th June) at Eden Baptist Church, 1 Fitzroy Street CB1 1ER. Each session runs from 7.45pm to 9pm.
