Friday Impact...
Friday Impact is a group for young people aged 11 upwards. It meets on
Friday evenings, from 8-10pm, for fun and games. Usually the venue is the
back hall at Eden Chapel, but there are also regular special events. In
the past couple of years these have included: a visit to Laserquest
followed by food at Burger King; a progressive supper in the homes of
some of the parents; a 24 hour famine in aid of World Vision; a punting
trip; games on Midsummer Common; and a walk to Balsham plus sleepover.
Impact tries to provide a safe place where young people can meet each
other, enjoy the evening and engage in constructive activity. It aims
to create an environment where spiritual progress can be made and where
leaders can develop good relationships with teens from church families,
their friends and others who might like to join them.
As well as running fun social activities, we spend some time during the evening looking at what the bible has to say to us today.
