Stating the Doctrine:
Before creation God chose a fixed number of people to be saved, not because of their foreknown faith or merit, but because of His sovereign good pleasure and for His glory.

• Two dangers to avoid (Deut 29:29)

1. Before creation, God chose…

2. A fixed number of people to be saved…

3. Not because of their foreknown faith or merit…
